Who Is This Program Right For?

This program is designed for survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence who are ready to focus on their next chapter, building skills, exploring career paths, and working toward long-term stability.

Participants should be in a place where they can commit time and energy to learning, growth, and professional development in a supportive, trauma-informed environment.

Queens Arise is best suited for women who are ready to take an active role in their progress, with the support of a structured program and a community invested in their success.

This program is designed for individuals who are ready to move forward and engage consistently in their own growth.

How the Survivor Program Works

A Step-by-Step Path Forward?

The Queens Arise program is designed to guide students from building foundational skills to preparing for employment. Each stage builds on the last, so they can move forward with clarity and confidence.

Step 1: Application and Program Intake

Submit an application and meet with the Queens team for a conversation about your interests, strengths, and readiness. If selected, you will work with a program coordinator to prepare for your next steps.

Step 2: Professional Foundations

Build digital and workplace skills through training in tools like Google Workspace along with professional development and workplace readiness.

Step 3: Education and Career Pathways

Continue your learning based on your interests. Some students pursue education through partners such as Penn Foster College, while others follow the Queens Arise entrepreneurship curric

Step 4: Career Readiness and Employment

Prepare for employment through resume building, interview practice, and guided job searches. Students will also have opportunities to connect with professionals and hiring partners.

Queens Arise helps survivors explore different career paths based on interests, strengths, and goals. Student do not need prior experience. The program is designed to help  build the skills needed to move into a new field. Some of the paths students pursue include:

  • Medical Assistant

  • Pharmacy Tech
  • Professional Dental Assistant
  • Veterinary Assistant
  • IT Support Specialist
  • Caterer
  • Queens’ Entrepreneurship

 

Regardless of which path students chose, we’ll be with them every step of the way.

Survivor Program Requirements

What to Expect

This program is designed to support growth and help survivors move forward. To get the most out of the experience, participants are expected to stay engaged and committed throughout the program. Participants are expected to:

  • Dedicate time each week to learning and coursework
  • Attend scheduled sessions and check-ins
  • Stay in communication with mentors and program staff
  • Complete assignments and continue building skills
  • Be open to learning, growth, and new opportunities

The more students put into the program, the more they will gain from it.
